Certificate of Deposit

Certificate Of Deposit: There are two types of certificate of deposit:

 

  • Certificate Of Deposit for General Investment
    • It will be issued specially for financing a general group of customers and it can be purchased by investors who have undefined investment horizon.
    • It will be issued with a determined due date and can bear/or not the name of the investor.
    • It can be transferred to a third party. Investor can sell the CD at Pasargad branches, and stock exchange and transfer all rights, in this case the relationship between the bank and new owner remains the same.
    • The bank can sell/buy CDs for/from real/legal applicants until these CDs become tradable in the stock exchange.
    • Period and the interest applied to these CDs will be determined according to other similar investment deposits and it should be confirmed by Central Bank of Iran.

 

  • Certificate Of Deposit for Specific Investment
    • It will be issued to finance specific projects in production, services and construction companies.
    • It will be issued with a determined due date and can bear/or not the name of the investor.
    • It can be transferred to a third party. Investor can sell the CD at Bank Pasargad branches, and stock exchange and transfer all its rights, in this case the relationship between the bank and new owner remains the same.
    • The bank can sell/buy CDs for/from legal applicants until these CDs become tradable in the stock exchange.
    • Issuing CD for specific investment is not possible without technical and economical analysis of project and also Central Bank of Iran permission.
